The journey of Wounded~Healer~Warrior is long, difficult and yet rewarding and fulfilling.
All of us must wake up today and face our own fears,
chase our own dark feelings,
track them down and boldly place them before our King.

God made my life complete
when I placed all the pieces before him.
When I got my act together,
he gave me a fresh start.
Now I’m alert to God’s ways;
I don’t take God for granted.
Every day I review the ways he works;
I try not to miss a trick.
I feel put back together,
and I’m watching my step.
God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
I thank Mick for challenging and wrestling with these truths himself,
and for boldly challenging others to do the same.

For the Brave
The brave
give us hope,
tell us we were right all along
and wrong:
We weren’t as different as we thought.
The wounded show courage,
fighting to be oneself
once and for all,
no matter the cost,
and to meet the world with grit
to return the favor.
The honest
show us the truth
that only One controls us—
Not memory, not past, not fear—
and that we decide,
when enough is enough,
and how to join the race.
